摘要: Background.: Cognitions surrounding living organ donation, including the motivation to donate, expectations of donation and worries about are relevant themes during donor evaluation. However, there is no reliable psychometric instrument assessing all these different cognitions. This study developed validated a questionnaire assess pre-donation motivations, regarding entitled Donation Cognition Instrument (DCI). Methods.: Psychometric properties DCI were examined using exploratory factor analysis for scale structure associations with questionnaires construct validity assessment. Results.: From seven Dutch transplantation centres, 719 potential kidney donors included. The distinguishes cognitions benefits, recipient idealistic incentives, gratitude (Cronbach's alpha 0.76-0.81). Scores on differed regard gender, age, marital status, religion type. With validity, was moderately correlated donor's personal well-being slightly health-related quality life. Conclusions.: found be which might add life measures in facilitating psychosocial evaluation by healthcare professionals.
