摘要: To investigate the possible role of positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) in prognostic evaluation primary breast cancer, we studied 86 patients T1-3 (TNM classification) tumours before surgery and compared tumour FDG uptake, calculated as a standardized uptake value (SUV), postoperative histopathological findings, steroid hormone receptor status tumour, thymidine labelling index (LI) tissular expression p53. SUV was significantly higher infiltrating ductal carcinomas (n = 68; median 5.6) than lobular ones 18; 3.8), grade 3 26; 6.2) 1-2 60; 4.9). Moreover, high levels p53 12; 9.5) those low 48; 4.25). By contrast, there no significant correlation between or LI tumours. Our data demonstrate that expressed SUV, is associated certain factors such grading expression, which can be assessed only by means vitro examinations. Hence, information provided FDG-PET to some extent related relevant on biology. The clinical these will have confirmed analysis independence from other multivariate performed larger series adequate follow-up. If an independent variable, could assume important determination appropriate therapeutic strategies for cancer.
