摘要: Enhanced histopathology is a tool that the pathologist can use as screening test to identify -immunomodulatory compounds. This assessment based on assumption chemically induced alterations may result in qualitative or quantitative changes histology of lymphoid organs. It involves histological evaluation various organs and their respective tissue compartments specific cellular architectural changes. Although this methodology cannot directly measure immune function, it does have potential determine whether not chemical causes suppression enhancement system. As with all tests, of, comparison with, control tissues are crucial order establish range normal for particular group animals. Laboratory animals include species other than rat mouse; therefore, recognition differences structure function system should be noted well identification which biologically relevant endpoint being considered. Consideration also given nutritional status, antigen load, age, spontaneous lesions, steroid hormone stress each strain General guidelines examination provided chapter.
