摘要: Abstract Objective Owing to the rapid increase in clinical need, we aimed implement and review performance of a mainstreaming model germline BRCA1/2 genetic testing eligible women with high grade non-mucinous epithelial ovarian cancer via Genetic Counselor embedded gynecology oncology clinic. Methods The implemented involved specialized referral form, weekly genetics-lead multidisciplinary referrals, pre- post-test counseling provided by an counselor during chemotherapy chair time. Performance outcomes were retrospectively audited over following two consecutive one year periods, including survey data on medical specialist comfort model. Results Sixty-four underwent mainstreamed post-implementation period rate detection pathogenic variants 17%. for significantly increased 90% (p patients receiving results first line chemotherapy. time decreased from 120 54min. Cancer specialists comfortable Conclusions proved effective, increasing uptake 90%; it was efficient patients, counselors acceptable specialists.
