摘要: Purpose/Objectives: To identify women’s information and communication preferences about treatment-focused genetic testing (TFGT) in the ovarian cancer context.Research Approach: A qualitative interview study.Setting: Two familial services a gynecologic oncology clinic at major teaching hospital Australia.Participants: 22 women diagnosed with who had either advanced disease previously undergone TFGT (n = 12) or been previous 6–20 weeks not 10).Methodologic Participants were interviewed individually actual hypothetical views of TFGT. The interviews transcribed organized into themes using analysis software.Findings: Most wanted to be informed prior their surgery for cancer. majority preferred receive verbally; s lightly more medical oncologist deliver compared specialist nurse. Women focus pretest on them treatment.Conclusions: want early placed potential benefits treatment.Interpretation: findings this study provide much- needed guidance nurses other oncol-ogy healthcare professionals when, what, how should delivered patients Supportive patient educa-tion materials now need developed assist these making decisions testing.
