摘要: Transcription is regulated by the state of phosphorylation a heptapeptide repeat known as carboxy-terminal domain (CTD) present in largest subunit RNA polymerase II (RNAPII). RNAPII that associates with transcription initiation complexes contains an unphosphorylated CTD, whereas elongating has phosphorylated CTD. factor IIH kinase activity specific for CTD stimulated formation complex. Here, we report isolation cDNA clone encoding 150-kD polypeptide, which, together RNAPII, reconstitutes highly phosphatase activity. Functional analysis demonstrates allows recycling RNAPII. The dephosphorylates allowing efficient incorporation into complexes, which results increased transcription. was found to be active ternary elongation complexes.
