Anti-fatigue activity of polysaccharide fractions from Lepidium meyenii Walp. (maca)

摘要: The two fractions of polysaccharide MPS-1 and MPS-2 were extracted from Lepidium meyenii Walp. (maca) by water, purified using a DEAE-52 Sephadex G-100 column. molecular weight (MW) was 7.6kDa, the MW 6.7kDa. composed xylose, arabinose, galactose glucose, with mole ratio 1:1.7:3.3:30.5; 1:1.3:36.8. IR spectrum implied that only α-pyranose existed in MPS-1, both β-pyranose MPS-2. anti-fatigue activities measured forced swimming test, along determination blood lactate (BLA), urea nitrogen (BUN), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) activity liver glycogen (LG). results indicated presented dose-dependently positive effects on fatigue related parameters. Additionally, has better effect than MPS-1.
