摘要: Gap junctions (GJ), specialised membrane structures that mediate cell-to-cell communication in almost all animal tissues, are composed of intercellular channel-forming integral proteins termed connexins (Cxs), innexins or pannexins. The activity these channels is closely regulated, particularly by intramolecular modifications as phosphorylation proteins, via the formation multiprotein complexes where pore-forming subunits bind to auxiliary channel and associate with scaffolding play essential roles localization activity. Scaffolding link signalling enzymes, substrates, potential effectors (such channels) into may be anchored cytoskeleton. Protein-protein interactions and, besides their functions, gap junctional now appear involved different cellular functions (e.g. transcriptional cytoskeletal regulation). present review summarizes recent progress regarding capable interacting functional importance.
