摘要: Fully processed mRNAs are exported to the cytoplasm where they direct protein synthesis. A general feature of mRNA export is that it an active, receptor-mediated process. The receptors thought recognize and bind mRNA-export cargoes either directly or indirectly (via adaptor proteins) facilitate their translocation across central channel nuclear pore complex (NPC). On cytoplasmic side NPC, released receptor returns nucleoplasm, without cargo, initiate additional rounds export. Recent, studies in yeast higher eukaryotes have led elucidation evolutionarily conserved pathway for bulk cytoplasm.
