摘要: Abstract Currently, within the U.K., around 500,000 tonnes of coal equivalent are consumed per annum in spray dryers. This paper discusses different options good housekeeping, process modification and heat recovery as means improving energy efficiency, reducing drying costs. To encourage improvements this important area, Energy Efficiency Office Department have spent £68,000 support a package projects on to Details these Demonstration Scheme at BIP Chemicals, The Clayton Aniline Co ABM Chemicals included. It is estimated that widespread adoption various measures could lead savings 70,000 tce/a, worth £6M/a. An intermediate target, be achieved by 1990, has been set 20,000 approximately £1.6M.
