摘要: Abstract Background/purpose In this in vitro study, we assessed the antifungal effect of mouth rinses containing chlorhexidine and thymol. Materials methods The fungistatic activities chlorhexidine- thymol-containing were by means minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) fungicidal activity was determined a time-kill assay. Results chlorhexidine-containing mouthwash able to kill all strains Candida albicans tropicalis shorter times compared mouthwash.
