摘要: We discuss the pairing gap, a measure for nuclear correlations, in chains of spherical, semi-magic nuclei framework self-consistent mean-field models. The equations conventional BCS model and approximate projection-before-variation Lipkin-Nogami method are formulated terms local density functionals effective interaction. calculate corrections both energy energy. Various definitions gap discussed as three-point, four-point five-point mass-difference formulae, averaged matrix elements potential, single-quasiparticle energies. Experimental values compared with calculations employing delta force density-dependent interaction model. Odd-mass calculated spherical blocking approximation which neglects part core polarization odd nucleus. find that mass difference formula gives very robust description odd-even staggering, other approximations may differ from up to 30% certain nuclei.
