The production of large concentrations of molecular ions in the lengthened negative glow region of a discharge

摘要: A technique for enhancement of positive molecular ion concentrations in a glow discharge is presented. The consists modifying an anomalous by the addition longitudinal magnetic field up to 300 G. Enhancements signal strength, as measured millimeter and submillimeter wave spectroscopy, are approximately two orders magnitude. Evidence presented that increases length rich negative restricting inside small diameter tube ionizing electrons accelerated large cathode drop discharge.
