Crowding Externalities from Tourist Use of Urban Space

摘要: Popular urban tourist destinations are attracting large numbers of both overnight visitors and excursionists. Since cities perform a multitude functions, the space requirements tourists can, at times, interfere with those local users. This paper addresses issue disutilities congestion through dichotomous choice experiment model in order to offer monetary valuation crowding public space. A resident survey was carried out city Amsterdam estimate random parameter logit which residents' willingness pay avoid unfavourable situations could be assessed.
