摘要: One of the most serious limitations Entity Relationship (ER) Model in practice is its inability to cope with complexity. A number approaches have been proposed literature address this problem, but so far there has no systematic empirical research into effectiveness these methods. This paper describes a laboratory experiment which compares different representation methods for documentation and maintenance large data models (analyst's viewpoint). The are compared using range performance-based perception-based variables, including time taken, correctness, consistency, perceived ease use, usefulness intention use. An important theoretical contribution development testing model (the Method Evaluation Model) evaluating IS design may help bridge gap between research, as it addresses issue method adoption practice, largely ignored by researchers.
