摘要: In spite of available efficacious vaccines, rabies continues to claim the lives thousands humans each year, and nearly half those are children. Preventive childhood vaccination in highly endemic areas would be expected dramatically reduce this death toll. Nevertheless, large-scale based on currently licensed vaccines too expensive. Novel that induce protective immunity after a single dose may more cost-effective. This chapter describes development recombinant adenoviral vectors. These vectors immunogenic sustained B cell responses moderate dose. They easy expand purify, assays for scale-up production release testing place. Adenoviral therefore provide an alternative vaccine platform prophylactic vaccination.
