摘要: The species-specific morphology of digits in the tetrapod limb, including length and number metacarpal, metatarsal, phalangeal bones, suggests that a common developmental mechanism for digit formation is modified manner. Here, we examined function AP-2β transcription factor regulating chicken autopod. Mutations gene encoding are associated with Char syndrome, human autosomal dominant disorder. syndrome patients exhibit autopod skeletal defects, loss phalanges shortened fingers, suggestive normal development. ectopic expression two different dominant-negative forms chick AP-2β, equivalent to mutant developing hindlimb bud resulted defective formation, reductions metatarsals. A detailed analysis pattern limb indicated correlation between pattern/duration mesenchyme three amniote species, chicken, mouse gecko. In addition, found was downstream Fgf signals from apical ectodermal ridge, which crucial morphogenesis, excessive dysregulated length. Taken together, these results suggest functions as novel transcriptional regulator morphogenesis.
