摘要: The journey of many viruses to infect cells begins when the virus first binds cell surface heparan sulfate (HS). initial step attachment or binding during herpes simplex type-1 (HSV-1) entry is mediated by envelope glycoprotein B (gB) and C (gC). followed fusion between membrane which HSV-1 D (gD) interacts with a modified form HS know as 3-O-sulfated (3-OS HS). rare modification 3-O-sulfation on chain governed enzymes known 3-O-sulfotransferase (3-OST). Currently, there are seven isoforms human 3-OSTs that have been identified, exception 3-OST-1, all other 3-OST allow spread. Recently, product zebrafish (ZF)-encoded 3-OST-3 was also recognized gD receptor, mediates cell-cell similar 3-OST-3. Interestingly, ZF system expresses multiple could be very useful for studying involvement 3-OS in tropism virus-induced inflammation. In addition, therapeutic targeting generated likely bring about novel interventions against HSV-1. this review we taken closer look at potential both encoded valuable tools HSV inflammation studies.
