摘要: Abstract By combining classical techniques used for oxidation studies, electrochemical measurements on the oxide scale and 18 O profilings by using O( p , α) 15 N reaction, it was possible to obtain reliable data growth mechanisms of alumina scales developed at 1082°C three Fe Cr Al alloys differing their impurity amount. It shown that aluminum diffusion through is major material transport mechanism during oxidation, resulting in an outside growth. Nevertheless, carbon other impurities enhance oxygen inward improve adherence. Alumina behave as a mixed ionic electronic conductor, but incorporated decrease values t i σ kp thus accounting slower rate industrial alloy than high purity one.
