摘要: The effect of yttrium addition on the oxidation behavior Fe3Al alloys was investigated in terms rate and oxide adhesion temperature range 800 to 1100 °C. alloys, Fe-14.3 wt% Al Fe-14.1 Al-0.3 Y, nearly identical, parabolic constant as a function is found be Kp = 5128 exp[−39506 (cal/mol)/RT] mg2/cm4 hr. While alumina scale formed Y-free alloy observed fragile spalled easily, layer Fe3Al-Y protective, dense, adhesive. Based microstructural, morphological, compositional studies, improvement due discussed growth stress, formation pegs mechanism.
