摘要: AbstractUpon the isothermal oxidation of an ODS FeAl Grade 3 intermetallic alloy, a structured oxide scale is developed between 800 and 950°C. TEM studies have revealed three-layered structure with top nanoequiaxed alumina, central alumina bottom Fe-Al spinel. At these temperatures, aluminium outward diffusion does not seem to be suppressed neither by spinel sub-layer nor yttria present in superalloy. However, formation metastable θ-Al2O3 seems significantly hindered. On contrary, at 1000°C, phase no longer forms but columnar layer topped up structure. Yttria then segregate scale/alloy interface randomly coarsen produce Y-Al phase.
