摘要: Abstract Iron aluminide (Fe 3 Al) coatings were prepared by a novel reaction process. In the process, iron coating is formed an in-situ between aluminum powder fed through plasma transferred arc (PTA) torch and steel substrate. Subjected to high temperature within argon zone, surface of substrate melt react form coating. The was found be phase-pure that porosity-free metallurgically bonded It expected principle demonstrated in this process can applied preparation other intermetallic alloy coatings.
