摘要: Abstract The combination of textile and electronic technologies results in new challenges for sustainable product design. Electronic textiles (e-textiles) feature a seamless integration with electronics other high-tech materials. Such products may, if they become mass consumer applications, result kind waste that could be difficult to recycle. ongoing innovation process e-textiles holds opportunities prevent future end-of-life impacts. Implementing eco-design the technological development can help minimise waste. However, existing Design Recycling (DfR) principles or do not match properties combined products. This article examines possibilities advance converging technology. DfR strategies are discussed from background contemporary trends. Three preventative approaches discussed: 1 harnessing inherent advantages smart materials design; 2 establishing open compatibility standards; 3 labelling facilitate their recycling. It is argued life-cycle thinking needs implemented concurrent process.
