摘要: The effect of glucagon on gastric acid and pepsin secretion, basal or stimulated by a meal, pentagastrin histamine, was studied in duodenal ulcer patients. Intravenous infused graded doses ranging from 6.2 to 50 μg per kg-hr produced dose-related inhibition pentagastrin-induced secretion reaching about 40% the control level at dose kg-hr. Acid paralleled decrease output serum calcium accompanied rise blood glucose concentration. Glucagon used standard 25 50% induced meal (measured intragastric titration) significant gastrin measured radioimmunoassay. Histamine-induced only slightly inhibited glucagon, degree for (25%) (20%) statistically insignificant.
