摘要: Abstract Context In pancreatic cancer, the presence of obesity or weight loss is associated with higher mortality. Objectives To explore relationships among body mass index, longitudinal composition alterations, and clinical outcomes in cancer patients. Methods Records 41 patients inoperable locally advanced who participated a prospective chemoradiation study were reviewed. Body was analyzed from two sets computed tomography images obtained before after radiation treatment (median interval 104 days). Results Median age 59 years 56% female. Twenty-four (59%) either overweight (22%) obese (37%). Sarcopenia present 26 (63%) At follow-up, experienced by 33 (81%) The median losses (%) 5% ( P =0.003), visceral adipose tissue (VAT) 13% =0.002). SKM positively correlated =0.03), baseline index =0.04) index. Obese =0.009), =0.02), VAT =0.02). survival 12 months. univariate analysis, age, obesity, sarcopenic weight, SKM, worse survival. multivariate only (hazard ratio=1.033, ratio=2.6 =0.03) remained significant. Conclusion Our preliminary findings suggest that experience VAT, which may contribute to poorer these
