摘要: The potential of gas chromatography coupled to time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC-TOF MS) for the screening organic pollutants in water was explored. After a conventional SPE step with C18 cartridges, comparison spectra available libraries together an evaluation accuracy first approach used and confirmation target analytes. However, at low analyte concentrations (i.e. below 0.1 µg/l), this procedure not feasible use application manager TargetLynx evaluated. This allows selection up five representative ions per analyte, measured high accuracy, their intensity ratio evaluation. Ion selection, extraction window concentration levels were found be critical parameters. reference compound as ‘lock mass’ also affect quality information obtained some particular cases. Full spectral acquisition data generated by TOF MS analyzer allowed investigation presence several analytes samples post-target style, without need reanalyze samples. Finally, methodical established reliable (PAHs, pesticides, octyl/nonyl phenols) real-world samples, which led satisfactory results ∼0.1 µg/l. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
