摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to characterise the kinetics chlorine consumption and inactivation indicator bacteria in secondary wastewater using a batch laboratory reactor. In time-course study, different concentrations chlorine, used as NaOCl, were injected into reactor, levels forms residual measured, numbers faecal coliforms streptococci determined. results showed that monochloramines trichloramines more important compared free dichloramines. high contents indicated reaction with ammoniacal nitrogen very fast transformation carried out time shorter than 1 min. Experimental application model Chick-Watson its original form not representative streptococci. Modification model, considering an initial reduction just at contact water improved adjustment model. same findings are valid for Collins-Selleck value m imposed concentration since it appeared clearly influenced output disinfection did contact.
