摘要: Nanotechnology is regarded by many authors as the base for next industrial revolution. The prefix “nano” equivalent to 10-9 m. Manipulation at nanometric level can modify properties such color, conductivity, reactivity, melting point, among others, creating new applications materials. It seen a multidisciplinary science with in distinct sectors, physics, chemistry, biology, materials, and information, others. In Brazil, policies of support nanotechnologies started 2001, since 2007, were identified strategic area Brazilian government, due their innovation potential, market growth, benefits related use. food agriculture sector, object this study, areas that be benefited from using nanotechnologies. Considering importance sector economy, paper aims identify describe research involves nanotechnology sector. To do this, an application through software VOSviewer has been made means studies published database Scopus. how investigations have evolved over time, search was divided into three different periods: 2001-2005, 2006-2009 2010-2013. results pointed out four trends: 1. use biosensors, especially contamination detection; 2. active packaging, biodegradable containing indicators deterioration contamination; 3. encapsulation delivery nutrients; 4. risks benefits, regulatory frameworks. may provide develop promote well suggest objects identifying current phase these technologies Brazil. prospection also contributes business opportunities businessmen.
