摘要: Background Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) is one of the most common postoperative complications. Despite this, few papers have reported incidence independent risk factors associated with PONV in context oral maxillofacial surgery (OMFS). Therefore, we sought to determine PONV, as well identify for condition patients who had undergone OMFS under general anesthesia. Methods A total 372 patients' charts were reviewed, following potential analyzed: age, sex, body mass index, smoking status, history and/or motion sickness, duration anesthesia, amount blood loss, nasogastric tube insertion retention opioid used. Univariate analysis was performed, variables a P-value less than 0.1 entered into multiple logistic regression analysis, wherein P-values Results The overall 25.26%. In predictors PONV: age 4 h. Furthermore, number proportional PONV. Conclusions varies from center depending on patient characteristics, anesthetic surgical practice. Identifying will allow physicians optimize prophylactic, antiemetic regimens.
