Effect of satellites on the 23P20 level lifetime in He-like ions

摘要: Abstract In the present work it is shown that an unresolved Li-like 2 S 1 / – 4 P 5 0 satellite line affects lifetimes deduced for He-like 3 level in ions. To include effect of this we derive a simple but novel semi-empirical formula and estimate “effective” lifetime if unresolved.
