摘要: Background Patent foramen ovale (PFO) is considered to be a risk factor for ischemic cerebrovascular disease (ICVD), especially in young people. However, the potential pathophysiological relevance stroke controversial and need of further investigation. In this study, we examined conventional factors distribution 100 polymorphisms 47 suspected susceptibility genes ICVD patients with or without PFO. Methods South Stockholm Ischemic Stroke Study, 928 602 controls were genotyped different gene polymorphisms. The also underwent relevant investigation standardized blood tests. Patients who transeosophageal echocardiography as part their divided into groups that either had did not have Results There no significant differences 2 regard analyses. Three located prothrombin, F2 (20210G/A), apolipoprotein-C3 (−641A/C and −455T/A) significantly associated strongest association was found ( P = .0049; odds ratio 26.4). Conclusions We F2, which previously has been described being possible link between PFO ICVD, trend toward an other APO-CIII ICVD.
