摘要: Abstract A study was made of the surface occurrence convective activity during late spring and summer months for an eight-year period over a region central United States. It found that there significant increase in amount as measured by thunderstorm when 500 mb troughs with northwest to southeast (negative) tilt were present area. The enhanced convection significantly greater than associated presence more ordinary (or shape). An extension winter mouths two-year showed similar but not so striking association between negatively tilted troughs. observations offer some support theoretical argument nay be equatorward flux relative angular momentum.
