摘要: We describe a series of preliminary experiments undertaken to investi-gate the relationship between complicated tool-making and presence or absence language in its communicative role. The involved teaching two groups university students how make Levallois flakes by either verbal non-verbal demonstration. rates mean times acquisition technique successful flake production were compared. They did not differ significantly groups. From these results, we infer that spoken was indispensable for Middle Palaeolithic.
