摘要: Abstract 1. Since severe mandibular retrusion cannot always be successfully corrected by orthodontic means alone, various surgical approaches should considered. These include maxillary osteotomy, chin augmentation, and anterior repositioning of the body. 2. Problems deficiency can treated positioning, although considerable posterior readjustment may encountered because suprahyoid muscle pull. 3. Three cases are presented to illustrate aspects short- long-term changes observed with this technique. The technique used was bilateral sagittal-split osteotomy. 4. To maintain maximum correction technique, it is suggested that body well rotated forward at time intervention overcorrected anteriorly as much possible. use a shoulder-to-chin brace also recommended.
