Highly asymmetric phthalocyanine-sensitized solar cells: The effect of coadsorbent and adsorption temperature of phthalocyanine

摘要: Abstract Highly asymmetric zinc phthalocyanine derivative (Zn-tri-PcNc) containing tribenzonaphtho-condensed porphyrazine with one carboxyl and three tert -butyl (t-Bu) substituent groups is used as a sensitizer to fabricate dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), the effects of chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) coadsorbent dye adsorption temperature on cell's performance are investigated. It found that CDCA coadsorption can hinder aggregation, which beneficial for improving electron injection efficiency retarding charge recombination, thus resulting in enhancement short-circuit current density open-circuit photovoltage. Moreover, electrode also shows significant impact photovoltaic cell, an optimal condition TiO 2 be 5 × 10 −5  M Zn-tri-PcNc ethanol solution 7.5 mM at 5 °C, contribute maximum conversion 2.89% 9.42 mA cm −2 photovoltage 0.48 V, improved by 47% compared cell fabricated sensitized phthalcoyanine absence CDCA.
