摘要: OBJECTIVES The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy computed tomography (CT)-guided 125I brachytherapy alone in improving survival and quality life patients with unresectable locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) after one cycle first-line chemotherapy. PATIENTS AND METHODS Sixteen NSCLC were treated CT-guided chemotherapy (group A). who received only best supportive care B) matched up group A. Primary end point included survival, secondary assessment safety, effectiveness brachytherapy, improvement life. RESULTS two groups well balanced terms age, disease histology, tumor stage, location, performance status (P>0.05). median follow-up time 16 months (range, 3-30). total response rate 75.0% A, which significantly higher than that B (0.0%) (P<0.01). progression-free 4.80 for A 1.35 (P<0.001). Kaplan-Meier analysis showed 9.4±0.3 versus 8.4±0.1 (P=0.013). Tumor-related symptoms relieved, markedly improved B. CONCLUSION compared care.
