摘要: There is a lack of optimal treatment strategies for managing salivary gland cancers in children and adolescents. This study aimed at assessing the effect 125I seed implantation parotid A total 12 patients younger than 16 years with malignant tumors underwent implant brachytherapy between October 2003 November 2008. All patients were assessed after local tumor control appointments. Facial nerve function, maxillofacial development, radioactive side-effects assessed. The follow-up period ranged from 41–104 months. One patient T4b died pulmonary metastasis. other alive during period. no serious radiation-related complications. did not affect facial function dentofacial growth any children. For children, may be an acceptable without complications satisfactory short-term effects.
