摘要: SoftCast-based linear video coding and transmission (LVCT) schemes have been proposed as a promising alternative to traditional in wireless environments. Currently, the performance of LVCT is evaluated by means objective scores such PSNR or SSIM. Nevertheless, since compression performed very different way from HEVC, visual artifacts are also quite deserve be subjectively assessed. In this paper, we propose subjective quality assessment SoftCast, pioneer standard schemes. This study aims better understand trade-offs between parameters that can tuned improve quality. These parameters, including GoP-sizes, Compression Ratios (CR) Channel Signal-to-Noise Ratio (CSNR), used generate dataset 85 videos. A Double Stimulus Impairment Scale (DSIS) test on received videos assess perceived Results show key characteristic relation CSNR PSNR, observed with Mean-Opinion Scores (MOS), except at high where saturates. addition, Bjontegaard model quantify CR, GoP-size CSNR, depending intended application. Finally, metrics compared obtained MOS evaluated. Multi-Scale SSIM (MS-SSIM), Video Multimethod Assessment Fusion (VMAF) offer best correlation values.
