Rheumatoid factors in psoriatic scale, serum and circulating immune complexes detected by an isotype-specific ELISA.

摘要: An isotype-specific ELISA for detection of rheumatoid factors (RFs) is described. The assay utilizes rabbit anti-albumin IgG bound to albumin as solid phase reactant (test wells). RF-activity was expressed the difference in reaction between test wells and containing F(ab')2-fragments albumin. activity correlated well with conventional Waaler agglutination on sera that showed a positive titre, but several were negative by RF isotype ELISA-test. method applied specimens from psoriatic patients, RFs IgG- IgA demonstrated serum immune complexes all patients examined. IgA-RF also extracts scale, scale independently free factor serum.
