摘要: Abstract A radioimmunoassay for determining plasma concentrations of corticotrophin (A.C.T.H.) in man has been developed using synthetic human A.C.T.H. standardisation and radioiodination a rabbit antiserum raised against natural Normal basal levels venous blood taken between 8 10 A.M. ranged from 12 to 55 pg. per ml. plasma. Levels were undetectable subjects pretreated with dexamethasone, patients hypopituitarism, patient Cushing's syndrome associated an adrenal carcinoma. Increased observed after adrenalectomy disease the " ectopic producing ". The administration insulin, lysine -vasopressin, or metyrapone normal subjects, resulted rise circulating levels.
