摘要: Net National Product (NNP) can potentially serve several objectives, among others to measure value added and be an indicator of welfare. In the aftermath World Commission on Environment Development, however, it also seems important investigate whether concept NNP as sustainability. My point departure, following Hicks (1946, Ch. 14), is therefore require that should what consumed in present period without reducing future consumption possibilities' and, line with this, argue equal maximum per capita level sustained. If sufficiently many facilitating assumptions are made, then a serves exact sustainability easily constructed. For instance, for closed economy constant population, stationary technology, only one capital good, follows does not reduce possibilities if decrease stock single good. Hence, under assumption good k identical x, defined y: =x + k, measures maximal sustainable at time t, because _ y equivalent k,_ ?. The purpose this note establish multiple goods, general possible construct
