摘要: Summary Background & aims In acute pancreatitis, traditional treatment has been initial fasting on purpose to avoid activation of proteolytic enzymes and pancreatic enzyme secretion. The aim the present study was evaluate efficacy feasibility immediate oral feeding as compared in patients with mild pancreatitis. Methods Sixty were randomized two groups, or feeding. inclusion criteria pancreas amylase ⩾3 times above normal, onset abdominal pain within 48 h, physiological chronic health evaluation (APACHE) score C -reactive protein (CRP) Results groups comparable respect age, sex, etiology, APACHE, time from at admission. No significant differences seen between concerning levels amylase, CRP, leukocytes, number gastrointestinal symptoms. LOHS significantly shorter group (4 vs. 6 days; p Conclusions signs exacerbation disease process terms for systemic inflammatory response. feasible safe may accelerate recovery without adverse events.
