摘要: Purpose To compare the outcomes of wavefront-guided and wavefront-optimized treatment in fellow eyes patients having laser situ keratomileusis (LASIK) for myopia. Setting Medical Vision Research Foundation, Tamil Nadu, India. Methods This prospective comparative study comprised 27 who had LASIK 1 eye eye. The Hansatome (Bausch & Lomb) was used to create a superior-hinged flap Allegretto (WaveLight Laser Technologie AG), photoablation. wave analyzer measure ocular wavefront aberrations Functional Acuity Contrast Test chart, contrast sensitivity before month after LASIK. refractive visual changes were compared between 2 modalities. Results One postoperatively, 92% group 85% uncorrected acuity 20/20 or better; 93% 89%, respectively, postoperative spherical equivalent refraction ±0.50 diopter. differences groups not statistically significant. Wavefront-guided induced less change 18 22 higher-order Zernike terms than LASIK, with positive aberration only significant one ( P = .01). improved at low middle spatial frequencies (not significant) worsened significantly high LASIK; there worsening all Conclusion Although both gave excellent correction results, former associated better sensitivity.
