Mechanisms and Treatment of Post-Operative Nausea and Vomiting

摘要: This review of post-operative nausea and vomiting discusses the principal aetiological features together with clinical research findings relevant to prophylaxis treatment problem. However, most factors interact each other so that, for example, detailed changes may be made in anaesthetic allow patient age or type operation. Most studies have ignored such variations resulting from, premedication or, when more carefully defined groups are investigated, used insufficient numbers patients reach significant conclusions.
