摘要: The objectives of this study were to characterize the features tinnitus in patients with profound sensorineural hearing loss and evaluate effect cochlear implantation (CI) on their tinnitus. Medical records reviewed for 35 who underwent CI, completed questionnaire between March 2003 August 2011. Of them, 22 had prior CI (62.9 %) group was older than non-tinnitus (47.5 ± 15.1 vs. 28.9 15.2). mean handicap inventory (THI) score 50.5 28.7 before surgery, THI visual analogue scale (VAS) scores loudness, annoyance, life, awareness decreased significantly after a follow-up period 10.7 months. Tinnitus completely eliminated ten (45.5 all patients. In correlation analysis decrease scores, preoperative VAS awareness, as well highly correlated degree postoperatively. auditory performance 40 years did not differ from that younger patients, but more improved CI. conclusion, is common complaint implants, prevalent elderly implantees. present study, although most severe cases greatest benefit.
