Endoscopic duodenal biopsy compared with biopsy with the Watson capsule from the upper jejunum in patients with dermatitis herpetiformis.

摘要: Forty-eight patients with dermatitis herpetiformis were investigated duodenoscopy, endoscopic biopsy, and conventional upper jejunal biopsy. Three biopsy specimens obtained from the duodenal bulb, three to six second part of duodenum, one suction jejunum. In 60%, 71%, 65% subtotal or partial villous atrophy was found in biopsies levels, respectively. eight (17%) mucosal abnormalities confined two biopsies. The technique is advocated because multiple visually selected may be this also enables a complete evaluation stomach.
