摘要: Differences in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patient demographics and clinical outcomes may exist between international regions, yet research is limited. The aim of this study was, therefore, to compare TKA patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) scores the US, Scandinavia, South Korea. A 398 patients from three regions were assessed: 169 Scandinavia (3 centers), 129 US 100 Korea (2 centers). Regional variation was assessed using Kruskal–Wallis H tests. PROM preoperative, 1-, 3- 5-year visits piecewise linear mixed effect models. PROMs analyzed a numerical rating scale for satisfaction Knee Osteoarthritis Outcome Score. Korean oldest (p < 0.001) had highest Charnley class (p < 0.001); BMI Scandinavian lowest preoperative KL grade (p < 0.001). associated with better worse postoperative scores. also moderately lower levels satisfaction. These differences lessened but remained significant after controlling relevant demographic surgical factors. found regional support need more clear guidelines related appropriateness criteria. have been their less severe might reflect cultural how on health state when answering PROMs. Clinicians should be aware these interpreting studies conducted different regions. Future investigate assess intraregional variation. Level III.
