摘要: Subtentorial ependymoma is a common central nervous system tumor in young children, but uncommon adults. Ependymoma often arises from the cells lining fourth ventricle. The present study reports rare case of primary that originated cerebellopontine angle, with local extension to two internal auditory canals and remote spinal metastasis, an adult male. A 50-year-old male presented headache, tinnitus bilateral hearing loss had persisted for 4 months. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed mass each angles, which spread canal wrapped VII/VIII cranial nerve complex. gross total resection was performed remove right side. Histological examination confirmed World Health Organization grade II papillary ependymoma. Notably, patient complained urine retention post-surgery massive occupational lesions T3-T4 L5-S2 were found on full cord MRI. then received combination therapy consisting temozolomide, whole-brain radiation. In final follow-up examination, 13 months after treatment, slight shrinkage T3 lesion observed, no progression left angle S5-L2 identified summary, although this clinical entity rare, diagnosis possibility metastasis should be considered subtentorial tumors.
