摘要: Giardia lamblia is a flagellated parasite of the gut and causes significant morbidity worldwide. Novel druggable targets are sorely needed due to Giardia's prevalence growing threat antibiotic resistance. conserved unique cytoskeletal features, such as its eight flagella ventral disc, required for host colonization by facilitating motility, attachment, cell division. Therapies that target these processes could interfere with trophozoite colonization, reduce time or severity infection, number infectious cysts shed into environment. This requires vetting prioritizing critical cellular identifying specific proteins in those targets.
