摘要: Osteoporosis represents a major public health problem through its association with fragility fractures. All osteoporotic fractures increase patient morbidity; however, of the hip and vertebrae are also linked significant mortality. The burden fracture is likely to rise in future generations, due part an life expectancy. Understanding epidemiology this disease therefore essential trying develop strategies help reduce load. This chapter will review osteoporosis, including relationship between low bone mass fracture. It fractures, concentrating on sites where majority age-related occur. Finally it discuss new developments assessment risk.
